Click Open System Preferences to open Security & Privacy Unlock Security & Privacy by clicking the lock icon. now open steam or a game with overlay and it should ask you to change your universal access permissions. Click Configure to open the macOS system preferences and set permissions for AnyDesk accordingly. press enter and it looks like nothing happened but now you can open system preferences and click the security and privacy button, now select accessibility from the menu, and steam and other apps shouldnt be listed in there. so, close steam and games, then open a terminal window, and type this:' tccutil reset Accessibility ' without quotes. the solution to this problem for me was to delete all the apps that had accessibility from the list, and re-add them manually as the app needed. still same problem!!!! so i finally found a solution for people with the problem that steam THINKS it doesnt have accessibility. installing steam over my old steam didnt work, so i completely deleted everything associated with steam, reinstalled, redownloaded.

then with the latest update i had the same error message about the accessibility not being enabled, when i checked the system prefs steam was ENABLED!!! still the overlay didn't work, and it kept asking me to check my system prefs, which were in order still even after i closed steam, unchecked, restarted, opened steam, closed steam, checked accessibility. i fixed it using the: system prefs -> security&privacy -> accessibility tab -> check box next to 'steam.app'. Ok i had this problem when i first installed steam. check the box next to steam and the overlay should work now! now open steam or a game with overlay and it should ask you to change your universal access permissions. Make sure to check the box next to it before clicking the lock again.Ok i had this problem when i first installed steam.

Once you double-click the application will automatically be added to the 'Allow the apps below to control your computer' list. Click the +В sign and find RescueTime in your Applications folder. You'll be prompted to enter you password.

If RescueTime is not present on the list click the lock so you can make changes.

Make sure to click the lock again to commit the changes you made.

You can then check the box next to the RescueTime icon. want to press the Fn key every time you use a function key, you can change your Apple system preferences.

Look at the list labeled 'Allow the apps below to control your computer' and see if RescueTime is both listed and checked.

From the Security & Privacy panel open the Privacy tab and select Accessibility.

Click the Apple symbol in your OS X menu bar and open System Preferences.

You can check and verify if the permissions are properly set or change them at any time.
